CUNA, Fiserv partner with Martha’s Outfitters for GAC Giveback

Credit Union National Association (CUNA) and Fiserv today announced a charitable giveback initiative with Martha’s Outfitters, a community store that supports local families in need. Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) attendees can support the giveback by donating gently used business clothing in drop-off bins at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, beginning Sunday, February 27.

“This year’s giveback directly supports the work that credit unions are doing to promote financial well-being for all. Our collaboration with Martha’s Outfitters will help people overcome some of the invisible barriers they may face in gaining employment,” said CUNA President/CEO Jim Nussle. “Martha’s Outfitters has extensive experience serving vulnerable D.C. families. We are honored to support their work.”

“Credit unions are known for their community connections, and for being there when people need them,” said Theo Curey, president of Credit Union Solutions at Fiserv. “We admire and share the credit union commitment to building community for everyone, and we’re proud to continue our involvement in the GAC Giveback event and to support Martha’s Outfitters.”

Martha’s Outfitters bins will be located in the Welcome Center, near the L Street shuttle entrance, on the first floor of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Bins will be available for the duration of the conference.

The giveback supports the organizations’ commitment to financial well-being for all, a system-wide initiative to exemplify the credit union difference.
