CUNA CFO Council Awards to celebrate excellence in finance

WASHINGTON, DC (January 31, 2017)CUNA CFO Council is now accepting nominations for its 2017 awards, to be presented at CUNA CFO Council Conference, May 21-24, 2017, in Orlando. The awards honor outstanding credit union finance professionals and innovative, breakthrough solutions in their field, as well as outstanding service to CUNA CFO Council.

“Finance isn’t an easy field; it’s complicated, involving many responsibilities and requiring strong strategic and fiscal instincts,” said Bryanna Tapley, CUNA CFO Council Chair and VP of Operations, Flint Area School Employees CU. “With our awards, we recognize finance professionals who, through skill and sacrifice, have overcome these challenges to the benefit of their credit union.”

Awards will be presented this year:

  • CFO Professional of the Year recognizes an individual who exemplifies excellence in credit union financial management, has strengthened their credit union’s financial position and embodies the cooperative ideals of the movement. (Nominations due March 13, 2017. Entry materials due April 10, 2017.)
  • Excellence in Finance Award recognizes innovative, successful approaches to common finance challenges. Presented to CFOs who excel in their profession to benefit their credit union and contribute to the movement. (Entry materials due April 10, 2017.)

Winners will receive complimentary registration to CUNA CFO Council Conference, where they will be recognized before their peers in a special live ceremony.
