CUNA Business Lending Certification School returns to Madison, Wis. July 24-27, 2017
WASHINGTON, DC (February 21, 2017) — CUNA Business Lending Certification School will hold its next session July 24-27, 2017, in Madison, Wis. Presented in partnership with the Professional and Executive Development of the Wisconsin School of Business at UW-Madison and the Small Business Development Center, this program teaches attendees how to lead their commercial and member business lending (MBL) programs and qualifies them to earn the Credit Union Business Lending Professional (CUBLP) designation.
“This is a great experience for anyone who works with member business loans, regardless of their experience,” said past attendee Mark Volz, business lending account executive at Guardian CU in Milwaukee. “It’s also a great networking opportunity. You get to meet your peers and see how everyone else does their MBL process.”
Completed over three years, CUNA Business Lending Certification School addresses the full spectrum of concepts and procedures inherent to credit union commercial and business lending, including regulations, business analysis and portfolio management. After completing all three years, attendees can test for the CUBLP designation, which reflects thorough, reliable knowledge of the subject.
Instruction at the school is led by business lending experts, including Dana Sumner and Joe Hyatt of Development Finance Training & Consulting, Inc., financial consultant Mark Taber, and renowned lending trainer Vin DiCara.
On July 23, the school will host “Introduction to the Credit Analysis Process,” a fast-paced pre-conference workshop that teaches attendees how to begin to analyze loan applicants’ financial information to determine the strengths and weaknesses of their business.
