CUNA announces online community platforms for credit unions and service providers
WASHINGTON, DC (November 2, 2015) — Credit Union National Association has launched three online communities to create a space for credit union professionals and service providers to connect with their peers, solve problems and build knowledge. Designed through user focus groups, the CUNA Communities are tailored to their specific audiences.
“We believe the three communities will be the go-to daily resources for their respective audiences,” says Heather Mosier, EVP of information technology at San Diego County CU and chair of the CUNA Councils leadership committee. “The CUNA Communities are a direct result of hearing the needs of our member credit unions and vendors,” says David Rohn, VP of CUNA Councils and project sponsor.
Open to CUNA Council members, compliance leaders and credit union vendors, CUNA Communities will serve thousands of professionals from across the industry.
“I am looking forward to accessing all my compliance resources in one place,” says Matt Bailey, director of compliance at Linn Area CU. “CUNA members will be able to have the benefits of CompBlog, file sharing, discussion groups and a compliance newsfeed through the CUNA Compliance Community.”
CUNA Communities benefit credit unions and vendors by:
- Generating and sharing ideas through discussion boards and a file share library;
- Engaging with daily posts, updates and information through email and the online community platform;
- Connecting credit union professionals and vendors to their peers with a searchable community directory;
- Recognizing users with designations for achievements and areas of expertise.
“CUNA is a real thought leader by bringing together so many voices and ideas. Vendors will be able to engage with each other to better serve the credit union market,” says Dean Capotosto, VP of business development at Doxim, Inc. and community focus group member. “This is the sort of collaboration that sets credit unions apart from so many other industries.”
