Cummins Allison announces the new Jetscan® 150 1.5-pocket currency scanner
MT. PROSPECT, IL (September 30, 2014) — Cummins Allison, the leading innovator and provider of coin, currency, check handling solutions and ATMs today announced the addition of the new JetScan 150 1.5-pocket currency scanner to its already-extensive line of currency processing machines.
The JetScan 150 currency scanner features a full pocket to stack processed bills as well as a half pocket for off-sorting bills that are questionable or unreadable or for facing and orienting. This allows users to implement non-stop processing into their cash counting operations. Bills are simply off-sorted to the reject pocket without stopping the counter.
“This is a perfect addition to our line of currency processing equipment,” says Frank Janezic, executive vice president, domestic operations. “Many organizations are looking for an economical solution to non-stop processing. The JetScan 150 is a great solution for situations that could benefit from more than one pocket but don’t require two fully functioning pockets.”
Counting mixed denominations at 940 bills per minute, the JetScan 150 currency scanner is a compact desktop currency scanner that lets users count cash quickly and without stopping by utilizing a second pocket. This significantly increases operator productivity and saves time.
The scanner also features advanced counterfeit technology. With a 49% increase in arrests in 2013, counterfeiting is increasingly a top concern for organizations that handle cash. Banks want to stop counterfeits right at the time of deposits, and retailers and casinos want to prevent counterfeits from being passed back to customers.
