CUInsight is proud to announce a free webinar to share research, prevention, and guidance from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. The virtual event titled, “Talk Saves Lives: An Introduction to Suicide Prevention” is scheduled for Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 1pm ET and is hosted by CUInsight.
Attendees will join CUInsight’s VP of Strategic Growth, Robbie Young, and Director of Learning & Client Support, Linda Lafortune as they share the suicide prevention education program from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. This webinar will cover the scope of this leading cause of death, what the research has found to be the warning signs and risk factors of suicide, and the strategies that prevent it. The “people helping people” focus is deeply rooted in the credit union industry. Supporting mental health and wellness is one of the greatest impacts in the scope of helping others.
“At CUInsight, we recognize the stress and challenges that many face, particularly during the holiday season when stress and mental health concerns can peak,” said Greg Michlig, President and CEO of CUInsight. “We are proud to present this important webinar on suicide prevention, a topic that, while difficult, is critical to addressing the well-being of our colleagues, members, and communities. Our goal is to provide not only awareness but also information and resources to help those struggling—and to empower those in a position to support them. We hope to support improving mental health across the credit union industry, especially at this time of year when support and connection are needed most."
This free event will be presented on December 11, 2024 at 1pm ET via Zoom. Those interested in attending this virtual webinar should register here. Log in information will be provided upon registration.
