C. myers corporation, a national leader in strategy and decision information, recently authored two educational articles on strategic budgeting for credit unions. Published through CUES, a not-for-profit international membership association for credit union executives, the articles elevate the budgeting process to expand strategic thinking and drive better business decisions.
The first article, entitled Elevate Your Budgeting Process, looks at how a credit union needs to build its base case financial situation on a solid foundation and then consider the budget in strategic ways.
How to Spot Budget Weaknesses, the second article in the two-part series, follows up with the importance of linking a credit union’s budget to strategic success measures and appetite for risk, and stress testing the budget for vulnerabilities. The full article is available in the December 2017 print issue of Credit Union Management Magazine.
