Credit union professionals to become certified in business lending at upcoming CUNA School
WASHINGTON, DC (December 9, 2015) — Registration has opened for next year’s CUNA Business Lending Certification School, to be held July 18-22, 2016 in Madison, Wis. The program provides attendees with comprehensive, expert-led training in credit union business lending, and fully prepares them for the Credit Union Business Lending Professional (CUBLP) examinations.
“Business loans are among the most popular services that credit unions offer, and with potential legislative changes approaching, strong business lending framework is absolutely essential,” says Kathy Smith, instructional design manager at CUNA. “This school has empowered hundreds of credit union professionals to build, enhance and improve their business lending programs, enabling them to more completely serve their members’ needs.”
CUNA Business Lending Certification School is a three-year program. Year 1 addresses fundamentals of business lending, Year 2 covers credit analysis and Year 3 examines advanced-level credit analysis. Instructors for the school are business lending experts, including Wind River Financial CEO Mark Taber, and Development Finance Training and Consulting founder Dana Sumner.
