Credit union breaks ground on new Gonzales branch
GONZALES, LA (September 9, 2024) — Louisiana Federal Credit Union (FCU), a Division of OnPath Credit Union (CU), broke ground on a new branch located at 915 W Hwy 30, near Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. Slated to open in Spring 2025, this new branch aims to bring modern and convenient banking services to the Gonzales community.
The new branch will feature an open lobby, both drive-up and indoor interactive teller machines (ITMs), and private offices—designed to enhance transaction efficiency, member privacy, and overall convenience.

This new location further strengthens Louisiana FCU’s presence in the growing Gonzales area, offering improved access to banking services and reinforcing connections with local businesses and residents.

OnPath Credit Union rose from the docks of Avondale Shipyards Inc., as ASI Federal Credit Union in 1961. Louisiana Federal Credit Union, a division of OnPath CU was originally established in 1935, as Norco Refinery Employees Federal Credit Union. By June 2025, the two entities will operate as one under the name of OnPath Credit Union.
