Corelation converts Michigan First Credit Union to KeyStone
SAN DIEGO, CA (February 24, 2014) — Celebrating Presidents’ Day weekend was a little extra special this year for Michigan First Credit Union ($676 million; 94,037 members; Lathrup Village, MI), as it successfully converted to Corelation Inc.’s KeyStone core processing system. Michigan First’s conversion was Corelation’s largest to date. Currently, Corelation has a total of 20 signed contracts with 12 credit unions running on KeyStone.
Michigan First’s conversion to KeyStone commenced early Saturday morning and concluded mid-Sunday morning, successfully bringing up all of the credit union’s remote access delivery points: ATM/home and mobile banking/audio, etc. Michigan First will now be able to serve its members 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year thanks to the KeyStone architecture and Corelation’s use of the IBM Power Machine and IBM’s DB2.
According to Michigan First’s President/CEO Michael Poulos, this was the fourth conversion of his credit union career and by far the best he has experienced. “We have a very complex credit union, so we knew going in that it would require significant planning from both parties,” Poulos says. “There was definitely a lot of talent on both sides of the ball, as well. We planned for the worst and hoped for the best – and this conversion resulted in a big success, as we are already experiencing the many efficiencies of KeyStone just a few days in.”
