Wallingford, Conn. (November 2012) – As a part of its community support program, Connex Credit Union recently donated $737.95 to the Kacey Rose Foundation. The money for this donation came from the fees collected by a coin-cashing machine in the credit union’s Wallingford Branch. Connex charges a five percent fee to members and a seven percent fee to non-members and donates the money collected to caring organizations in the community.
“The Kacey Rose Foundation greatly appreciates the support of Connex,” said Kristina Mitchell, vice president of the Kacey Rose Foundation. “Support from the community is critical in helping us fulfill our mission.”
The Kacey Rose Foundation’s mission is to provide assistance to families affected by childhood cancer and blood disorders requiring stem cell transplant and to promote umbilical cord blood donation.
