Connecticut Regulator Mary Ellen O’Neill Appointed to NASCUS Board of Directors

Arlington, Va. – NASCUS Chairman Orla Beth Peck (UT) has appointed Connecticut regulator Mary Ellen O’Neill to the NASCUS Board of Directors. O’Neill is currently Director of the Financial Institutions Division for the Connecticut Department of Banking.

O’Neill has held various senior leadership roles at the Connecticut agency where she began her career as an examiner. “NASCUS is pleased to welcome Mary Ellen to the NASCUS Board of Directors,” said NASCUS Chairman Peck, the supervisor of credit unions for the Utah Department of Financial Institutions. “She is a respected veteran of state financial regulation and we are grateful to have her wealth of experience on the NASCUS Board.”

O’Neill is filling the unexpired term held by Mary Hughes, Financial Institutions Bureau Chief,  Idaho Department of Finance. O’Neill’s term will end in September, 2015.
