Community Resource Federal Credit Union Donates To Food Bank On Behalf Of Interfaith Partnership For The Homeless

(Latham, NY) Community Resource Federal Credit Union’s employees raised $3,250 for Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless (IPH) through various activities that included a Haunted Credit Union, a bake sale, employee dress down days, board of directors’ donations and candy bar sales. $819 was distributed to IPH for its Summer Youth Program and Taste of Albany events.  The remaining $2,431 was donated on their behalf to the Northeast Regional Food Bank.  This donation will enable IPH to purchase $26,741 worth of food from the food bank for its shelters. The employees raised $6,500 total; the remaining $3,250 will be distributed to the Mohawk Hudson River Humane Society.

We started the Charity Committee in 2010 and raised $2,482 that year. Three years later, we’ve increased the amount we raised by 260%,” said Wendy Meola, Director of Marketing.  “We’ve been able to make great strides in fundraising because our employees work as a team to develop new ideas and because they are dedicated to helping our two charities as much they possibly can,” she added.
