DENVER, CO (October 18, 2024) — The 76th anniversary of International Credit Union Day® will be celebrated Thursday, October 17, 2024. This year, once again, Colorado area Credit Unions banded together to collectively volunteer as a whole.
International Credit Union (ICU) Day® celebrates the spirit of the global credit union movement. The day is recognized to reflect upon the credit union movement’s history, promote its achievements, recognize hard work and share member experiences. International Credit Union (ICU) Day® has been celebrated on the third Thursday of October since 1948.
The goal is to raise awareness about the tremendous work that credit unions and other financial cooperatives are doing around the world and give members the opportunity to get more engaged. The credit union philosophy is “People helping people.”
The following Credit Unions sent employee volunteers today:
Canvas Credit Union, ENT Credit Union, Northern Colorado Credit Union, Meridian Trust Credit Union, Bellco Credit Union, Premier Members Credit Union, Blue Federal Credit Union and Westerra Credit Union.

Credit Union Employees also came together to save lives by donating blood to Children’s Hospital in Thornton, CO (ENT Credit Union – 13670 Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80023) and at Vitalent in Cheyenne, WY (Frontier Mall – 1400 Dell Range Blvd. Cheyenne, WY, 82009).
