City & County Credit Union Launches Mobile Check Deposit

St. Paul, MN – “Banker’s hours” are a thing of the past with the launch of City & County Credit Union’s new mobile deposit application.  Members of City & County Credit Union can now deposit checks anytime and anywhere, simply by snapping a picture of their check with a smartphone camera.  City & County is one of the first Credit Unions in Minnesota to launch mobile deposit. Nearly 1,000 deposits have been made in the first month the app has been available.

“At City & County, we listen to our members, we keep an eye on emerging trends, and we use the latest technology to offer high-quality affordable solutions that enrich the lives of our members,” said Patrick Pierce, President and CEO of City & County Credit Union. “The launch of Mobile Deposit, combined with over 28,000 free ATMs, a suite of online capabilities, 6,800 Shared Branch locations, and smart phone apps makes everything about City & County convenient,” Pierce said. “We’re delivering what people want most – convenience. It is that unrelenting focus on innovation that allows us to distinguish ourselves from the competition while improving – not sacrificing – value and quality."

Mobile deposit is a free service, and is part of City & County’s free mobile banking Smartphone app, available for iPhone, iPad and Android devices. In addition to deposits, the app also allows members to pay bills, transfer money, and locate the nearest ATM. The app can be found in the iTunes App store or Google Play under “PC FIRST mobile.”
