Credit Union National Association (CUNA) today announced José Andrés as a keynote speaker for the 2022 Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC). Andrés will join Gigi Hyland, Executive Director of The National Credit Union Foundation, for an intimate fireside chat to share his unique experiences as an internationally recognized culinary innovator and humanitarian.
“Chef Andrés lives the ‘people helping people’ mission through his global humanitarian efforts. He is a passionate human rights advocate and we’re honored to have him join us at CUNA GAC,” said Todd Spiczenski, CUNA Chief Products and Services Officer. “Chef Andrés will bring a unique perspective to our systemwide conversation around financial well-being.”
Andrés is the Michelin-starred Chef and Owner of ThinkFoodGroup, comprised of more than two dozen restaurants that span across a variety of cuisines, cultures, and price points. He is also the founder of World Central Kitchen (WCK), a nonprofit organization devoted to delivering food relief in the wake of natural and humanitarian disasters. During the COVID-19 pandemic, WCK partnered with restaurants, small farms, and community leaders around the country to help combat food insecurity.
The keynote speech will take place Monday, February 28th, 2022, on the CUNA GAC mainstage.
