BrightStar Credit Union to break ground on new corporate headquarters

Leading Broward County Credit Union will become first corporate building to open in Cooper City, FL; groundbreaking ceremony will be held on June 23, 2021

BrightStar Credit Union is proud to announce it will be relocating its corporate headquarters to Cooper City, Florida, making it the first corporate building to be built in Cooper City. BrightStar will celebrate the occasion with a groundbreaking ceremony and press conference on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 10 a.m.

Developed by Monterra Community Developers and designed by award-winning design firm DEI Corporation, the 70,316 sq.ft. office building will consolidate all company operations and nearly 200 employees in one location, in addition to adding a new branch with 250 parking spaces and several drive-thru teller lanes, bringing additional banking services and jobs to the community. The development’s youthful and energetic design will provide amenities to support a modern office lifestyle, including extensive windows for access to natural light, designated staff engagement/break areas, conference rooms, a cafeteria, outdoor seating, and more.

“As one of the largest credit unions in the southeast, our company has enjoyed profitable growth for 75 years and what better way to continue to serve all Florida counties than by opening a new state-of-the-art facility in Cooper City where we can exceed the growing needs of our members,” said Michael Tomko, president and CEO of BrightStar Credit Union. “We are excited for this project and look forward to continuing to serve Broward County residents.”

The new headquarters for BrightStar Credit Union will be located at 3400 North University Drive in Cooper City, Florida.
