Bay Federal Credit Union and the Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce hosted a special ribbon-cutting event and networking mixer to commemorate the opening of the credit union’s location in downtown Salinas.
The event marked the culmination of a journey that began in September 2018 when Coast-Tel Federal Credit Union and Bay Federal Credit Union announced an intention to merge. After the merger was approved and completed, the location at 356 Main St in Salinas was converted into a branch of Bay Federal.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to be here in Salinas,” said Bay Federal President and CEO Carrie Birkhofer.” One of the core values of Bay Federal is giving back to the communities we serve. We are excited to partner with the Chamber and other non-profits as we strive to continue the impact started by Coast-Tel Federal Credit Union in making a real difference in the financial lives of the people of the Salinas Valley.”
