Ascend Federal Credit Union, the largest credit union in Middle Tennessee, announced today that it has once again secured prominent recognition in the area of employee development among the nation's elite organizations. The credit union earned this distinction by being named as a recipient of the Training Magazine’s APEX award for the 11th straight year, ranking an impressive 9th nationally. It is also the third straight year that Ascend has been ranked in the top ten by the awards program.
Ascend’s recognition marks more than a decade of their presence in the APEX Awards Top 40, proving the credit union's strong commitment to promoting a culture of continuous employee learning and growth. The APEX Awards recognize those organizations that best show dedication to furthering their employees' professional journeys through best-in-class training and development initiatives.
"Being named to the APEX award list for an 11th straight year is a tremendous honor," said Peggy Stubblefield, Chief Human Resources Officer at Ascend Federal Credit Union. “Our team members excel at providing unmatched service, and employee development is both fundamental to our success and a driving force behind our ability to meet the financial needs of our members in Middle Tennessee.”
Ascend's continued inclusion in the rankings further demonstrates the credit union's dedication to providing training programs that meet the evolving needs of both employees and members in the current financial landscape. The organization's forward-thinking approach to employee development also enhances member-service quality and has contributed to its robust growth in Middle Tennessee.
Now in its 25th year, Training magazine’s annual APEX Awards rankings are determined by assessing a range of qualitative and quantitative factors, including total training budget, percentage of payroll receiving training, scope of training programs provided, detailed formal and informal training programs, training linked to business/business unit goals, business outcomes resulting from training and Kirkpatrick Level 3 and 4 evaluation, a model for analyzing the results of training and educational programs.
