Arlington Community FCU selects Suri Thummala as CFO

Arlington Community Federal Credit Union has selected Suri Thummala to serve as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He was placed by DDJ Myers, the well-known executive search and leadership development firm.

Thummala brings over two decades of leadership experience in the financial services industry to his new position at Arlington Community FCU. His expertise spans financial planning and analysis, treasury operations, balance sheet management, capital markets trading, marketing, and business development.

Prior to joining Arlington Community FCU, Suri served as Vice President of Finance at Caribou Financial, a fintech innovator that collaborates with credit unions to refinance auto loans and reduce consumers' vehicle ownership costs. His career includes holding executive positions at Citigroup and Capital One along with gaining strategic consulting experience at Bain & Company.

Thummala earned his Master of Business Administration from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and his Bachelor of Business Administration from The George Washington University.
He lives in Arlington, Virginia, with his wife and daughter. Thummala is an avid long-distance runner and enjoys balancing his professional pursuits with a love for live music and international travel. Dedicated to community service, he actively shares his expertise by serving on the boards of several nonprofit organizations in the greater Washington metropolitan area.
