Arkansas Federal Credit Union marks opening of its newest branch

The new Jonesboro location signals a commitment to the northeast Arkansas market

Arkansas Federal Credit Union has opened a new location in Jonesboro, Ark. Located at 3313 East Johnson Avenue, the facility marks the first location in northeast Arkansas and 22nd overall in Arkansas for Arkansas Federal. The organization celebrated the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony co-hosted by the Jonesboro Chamber of Commerce.

“This branch is more than just a physical location. It’s an emblem of our investment to the members and communities we serve in northeast Arkansas,” said Rodney Showmar, president and CEO of Arkansas Federal. “As we open these doors, we look forward to continuing to partner with residents and businesses in the greater Jonesboro area to help them achieve their financial goals and further our mission to make a difference in the communities we serve.”

Local community and business leaders attended the ribbon cutting, including Jonesboro Mayor Harold Copenhaver, and Mandy Cook, vice president of chamber operations of the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Local Arkansas Federal leadership includes Beverly Haper, vice president of retail for northeast Arkansas, and Jarred Turner, manager of the Pinnacle Hills branch.

The new full-service branch offers consumer and commercial accounts, loans, mortgages, treasury management services, as well as insurance and investment services. The branch is staffed by a team of four, and features three drive-thru lanes and one 24-hour ATM.
