Arizona Credit Unions celebrate second annual Arizona Credit Union Week

Get in on the fun during #AZCU Week happening October 14-18

United by a shared commitment to igniting positive change across Arizona, the state’s leading credit unions have organized an action-packed week of festivities, including appearances with iconic athletes, local leaders, and members of the community.

Arizona Credit Union Week will shine a spotlight on the exceptional work credit unions do to empower financial independence, bolster local economies, and act as a catalyst for change in neighborhoods and communities throughout Arizona. From Oct. 14-18, these Arizona-based credit unions will collaborate on a series of engaging events, including the observance of International Credit Union Day on Oct. 17. Followers are encouraged to share their favorite credit union stories and keep up with the excitement throughout the week using the hashtag #AZCUWeek.

AZCU Week events and initiatives include:

Oct. 14 – Indigenous People’s Day.

Oct. 15 – CU Cash Crew Day: The CU Cash Crew is hitting the streets, surprising customers at member-owned businesses by picking up the tab for their purchases! Keep an eye out for these unexpected giveaways as they pop up at surprise locations throughout the day.

Oct. 16 – AZCU Day of Service: Credit union leaders will host community service volunteer events projects throughout the state.

Oct. 17 – International Credit Union Day (All CUs celebrate 76 years).

Oct. 18 – Financial Education Day: A day of financial fun and learning! Local students will engage in exciting events, with the goal of teaching tomorrow’s leaders about financial literacy.
