American Airlines Federal Credit Union Launches New uChecking Account Aimed at Ages 13-25

FORT WORTH, Texas – Earlier this month, American Airlines Federal Credit Union (AA Credit Union) launched a new checking account, uChecking, designed especially to appeal to ages 13-25. This modified version of the Credit Union’s popular Priority Checking account offers as much as $15 in ATM out-of-network fee refunds provided members make a minimum of 15 monthly CheckCard transactions, apply for online statements and provide a valid email address. The account also has no monthly fee or minimum balance and has overdraft options available through Bounce ProtectionPlus.

“This is the perfect solution for our younger, tech-savvy, on-the-go member-owners,” said Nancy Crouch, Vice President of Payments for AA Credit Union. “Our uChecking account not only allows these members to start building a financial history but our stylish new CheckCard provides them the financial freedom to access funds in a variety of convenient, youth-friendly ways.”

Member-owners can access funds fee free at nearly 30,000 ATM locations within the CO-OP Network or visit nearly 5,000 Shared Branch locations. They can also access all their financial information online through CUAcce$$™, our internet branch; call our 24/7 automated voice system, CALL-24; or use our handy AA Credit Union app available for iPhone® and Android. The app also features mobile deposit, enabling a member to deposit a check simply by taking a picture with their smartphone, as well as a number of other convenient features.
