American 1 Credit Union donates $5,000 to Lenawee Now

JACKSON, MI (July 31, 2024) — American 1 Credit Union announced its donation of $5,000 to Lenawee Now.

Lenawee Now’s initiative complements American 1 Credit Union’s dedication to small business economic development. Lenawee Now’s mission is to create economic opportunities in Lenawee County. It offers workforce development and entrepreneurial programs to local business owners and leaders. The organization fosters collaborative problem-solving and prepares the economy to overcome new challenges.

American 1 Credit Union offers competitive business checking, savings, and microloans of up to $50,000, allowing entrepreneurs to start, grow, or sustain their businesses. Still, its dedication to small business expansion goes further than that. Recently, Lean Rocket LOCAL, a program that American 1 Credit Union has partnered with in Jackson County, expanded into Lenawee and Hillsdale County. The program mentors entrepreneurs in Jackson, Lenawee, and Hillsdale County through completing a rigorous entrepreneurial course. The guidance helps them create a business plan that can be used in helping them obtain lending to launch their business.

“We are excited to support Lenawee Now and their mission of building economic opportunity in Lenawee County,” stated Martha Fuerstenau, President/CEO of American 1 Credit Union. “With our mission to promote financial wellness in the communities we serve, our partnership will bolster the economic future of Lenawee County.”
