LOWELL, MA (March 21, 2014) -- Align Credit Union is pleased to partner with the Haverhill Public Schools, UNO Pizzeria & Grill and the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce for “GET SMART HAVERHILL!”
Entering its second year, the program runs from March 3rd through April 13th. During that time, guests of UNO in Haverhill (located next to Align’s branch at 20 Cushing Avenue) will be able to donate 20% of their bill to the school of their choice by presenting a fundraiser ticket. The school that raises the most funds will receive a SMART Interactive Response System valued at $4,000, donated by CCS New England. Align will be supporting the initiative by supplying weekly prizes for participating schools, including a laptop, iPad and $500 Staples gift card. Last year’s program raised nearly $8,000.
For those who would like to participate, tickets are available on the Haverhill Public School Department’s website (www.haverhill-ps.org) and the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce’s website (www.haverhillchamber.org). “GET SMART HAVERHILL!” fundraiser tickets are valid for use in the restaurant and bar, as well as for take-out, delivery and catering. Tickets may be printed or shown to your server on a phone. Participating schools include: Bartlett Elementary, Bradford Elementary, Consentino School, Crowell School, Golden Hill School, Greenleaf School, H.A.L.T. “As a community credit union, supporting education is one of our key missions,” said Align President Ken Del Rossi. “With budget cuts plaguing so many of our area schools, programs like this help close the gap. We are proud to be a part of this important community initiative.”
