As part of its mission to end cycles of financial inequity, the Affinity Plus Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of its 2024 Housing Stability Grants. Fourteen organizations throughout Minnesota will receive a total of $140,000 to advance their work in addressing homelessness, breaking down barriers to achieving stable housing and providing support for low-income first-time homebuyers.
“Without a stable home, it’s nearly impossible to break down financial disparities in underserved communities,” said Jessica Volkmann, Board Chair of the Affinity Plus Foundation. “By supporting these amazing organizations, we’re not just helping to address homelessness – we’re empowering families to build brighter, more secure futures for generations to come. Everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, and it starts with a safe, secure place to call home.”
The following organizations are each receiving a $10,000 grant:
Committee Against Domestic Abuse (Mankato)
Evergreen Youth & Family Services (Bemidji)
Family Pathways (Cambridge)
Fergus Falls Area Habitat for Humanity (Fergus Falls)
Habitat for Humanity of Douglas County (Alexandria)
Hearts and Hammers (St. Paul)
Itasca County Habitat for Humanity (Grand Rapids)
Leech Lake Financial Services (Cass Lake)
Life House (Duluth)
Neighborhood House (St. Paul)
New Pathways (Cambridge)
Solid Ground (White Bear Lake)
The Landing MN (Rochester)
The Link (Minneapolis)
Each of these organizations works to strengthen communities across Minnesota by providing services that foster safe and affordable housing. Services include emergency shelter and financial assistance, youth programming and access to social work professionals.
