Advance Financial Federal Credit Union is proud to announce a successful donation drive in support of Damar Services, formerly the Carmelite Home in East Chicago. Thanks to the generosity of our members and staff, we collected $600 and 40 essential items for the organization.
A representative from Advance Financial presented the check and donations to the organization. Dee Young, finance and development officer at Damar, said, "It is through the continued support of businesses like yours that Damar can further our mission of building better futures for children and adults facing life’s greatest developmental and behavioral challenges. For that, we are incredibly grateful.”
Damar Services acquired the Carmelite Home earlier this year. The organization will continue the loving legacy of Carmelite Home, a tradition established in 1913. Looking ahead, Damar plans to renovate and expand the facility to offer even more services to the community, which may include educational classes, autism therapies, and additional services for special needs children.
