ACUMA President Bob Dorsa to step down; Mortgage expert Tracy Ashfield to assume top role

MIDDLETON, WI (September 25, 2018) — American Credit Union Mortgage Association (ACUMA) Founder and President Bob Dorsa will step down from his leadership role in January 2020, and longtime colleague Tracy Ashfield will become the association’s new president.

Dorsa announced his decision to step down this week at the ACUMA annual conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dorsa will stay on with ACUMA, helping with the leadership transition. In his transitionary role, Dorsa will focus on events, including the ACUMA Annual Conference and the association’s exhibit at the National Association of Realtors annual convention.

“Bob is a well-known credit union leader and ACUMA founder, and his 40 years of contributions to credit unions and CUSOs have been substantial,” said Pam Davis, ACUMA Board Chairman. “During his 22 years of service at the helm of ACUMA, Bob managed all facets of our business. He ran our events and meetings, as well as our business operations.

“We thank Bob for his service, dedication and commitment to our members, and we are pleased he is staying on beyond January 2020 to ensure a smooth transition.”

Ashfield brings more than 30 years mortgage banking management experience to the role. Before forming her consulting company, Ashfield & Associates, she was the Senior Executive for Mortgage Development at CUNA Mutual. Previously, she served as Senior Vice President of Operations for CUNA Mortgage Corporation and worked with CMG Mortgage Insurance Company.

“Tracy shares Bob’s passion for credit unions, and she has worked with us as a consultant for many years,” said Davis. “We are thrilled she will bring her mortgage banking management experience to ACUMA as our new president. Our mission is unchanged; we will continue to provide high-quality education and networking for the mortgage banking lending and credit union communities.”
