Achieva Credit Union brings holiday magic to children in need through Salvation Army partnership

Support Area Families from November 12 to December 11 at Achieva Credit Union Branches

DUNEDIN, FL (October 31, 2024) — Achieva Credit Union announced today its partnership with The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program to bring holiday magic and heartfelt support to children and seniors in need in its communities. From November 12 through December 11, 2024, community members are invited to join this heartwarming tradition by fulfilling the holiday wishes of local families.

“Thanks to the incredible dedication of our members and the unwavering support of our communities, we’re able to bring joy and wonder to children who might have otherwise felt overlooked—especially this year, as families work to rebuild after the devastation of Hurricanes Helene and Milton,” said Jennifer Galley, Chief Operations Officer at Achieva. “The Salvation Army means so much to us because it allows us to ease the burden on these families and ensure that each child can feel the warmth of the season, whether it’s through a cherished toy, a cozy winter coat, or even the surprise of a new bike.”

People can participate as follows:

Visit any Achieva Credit Union branch and look for the designated Angel Tree display.
Choose an Angel Tree tag, which includes a child’s first name, age, gender, and their holiday wish list.
Purchase the gift(s) listed, as small as a pair of new socks or as special as a favorite toy.
Return the gift(s) with the Angel Tree tag to the same branch by December 11.

For several years Achieva Credit Union has proudly partnered with The Salvation Army Angel Tree program, bringing holiday hope and joy to hundreds of families in our community.

“The Salvation Army is pleased to partner with Achieva Credit Union as our Angel Tree Corporate Sponsor again this year. Their use of a wide variety of media outlets has made The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program more well known that it ever has been, enabling more people to participate with us in providing toys for children and much needed items for seniors this Christmas season,” said Major Ted Morris, Commanding Officer of the Salvation Army, Clearwater, Florida Corps.

All Achieva Credit Union branches across Charlotte, Collier, Hillsborough, Lee, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, and Sarasota counties are taking part in this year’s drive. To find branch locations and hours, visit www.achievacu.com/Home/Locations.

When the drive concludes, The Salvation Army will collect and distribute all donated gifts to families in time for the holidays.
