ABBA The Concert Announced as Opening Show for 2013 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington D.C.
Madison, Wis. (November 7, 2012) – Credit Union National Association announced today that the world’s top ABBA tribute band, ABBA The Concert, will perform the 2013 Governmental Affairs Conference opening concert. The show, taking place on Sunday night, February 24 at 9:00 p.m., will include dazzling performances of ABBA’s iconic hits, including Dancing Queen, Mama Mia, SOS and Take a Chance on Me.
ABBA The Concert, featuring Waterloo the band, was formed in 1996 and quickly became known for its stunningly ABBA-esque sound and performance. Audiences and press all agreed that, “this is the closest to ABBA you’ll ever get.” The group, which has always included two members of the original ABBA rhythm section, has performed more than 1,000 shows in more than 20 countries worldwide and continues to tour today. CUNA Councils is pleased to bring this show to Washington D.C. and start this year’s GAC with an energetic opening evening.

CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference is the credit union movement’s premier political event and its largest conference, drawing more than 4,000 credit union executives and board members to advance the movement’s policy agenda from the nation’s capital.
