CUNA announced today that registration for the 2016 CUNA Regulatory Compliance School is now open. In 2016, CUNA will offer this school April 10-15, 2016 in St. Pete Beach, FL and September 25-30, 2016 in Tempe, AZ.
CUNA Regulatory Compliance School offers attendees a thorough understanding of the current regulatory environment through an overall compliance update and in-depth examination of individual regulations. Participants can register for either the Introduction or Update learning tracks, based on their level of compliance expertise.
“CUNA Regulatory Compliance School was an amazing experience,” stated Diane Eley, Risk Management Officer, Motor City Co-Op CU. “I learned more than I imagined. Great presenters, topics, and contact. Great info on how to research issues.”
The Update track takes participants deeper into the current regulatory environment, the introduction track covers these crucial regulations:
- NCUA Requirements and Guidance
- Consumer Lending Regulations
- Mortgage Lending Regulations
- Deposit Account Regulations
- General Operation Regulations
Attendees will also have the opportunity to earn the nationally recognized CUNA Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE)designation, by successfully completing the optional exam. For those who have already earned their CUCE, recertification is offered during the update track. Recertification is required every three years.
“We design this school to equip credit union compliance professionals with the expertise they need to be compliance leaders,” stated Melisa Kallestad. “We are looking forward to a great class and program in 2016.”
