CUNA Technology Council opens submissions for 2016 Excellence Awards

WASHINGTON, DC (May 2, 2016) — Announced today, CUNA Technology Council is now accepting submissions for the 2016 Excellence in Technology Awards. The awards, which recognize innovative achievements in the field of credit union technology, will be presented at CUNA Technology Council Conference, Sept. 28 – Oct. 1, 2016 in Las Vegas.

“When one credit union discovers a new technological solution, it has the potential to benefit the entire movement,” said Alex Barker, CUNA Technology Council Awards Chair and Senior Vice President/Chief Intelligence Officer of Mountain America Credit Union. “By shining a spotlight on these accomplishments, we show credit unions everywhere new approaches to making their technology more secure, efficient and effective.”

Excellence in Technology Awards submissions are judged by a panel of CUNA Technology Council members and executive committee members. Entries are judged based on strategy, process, application and results. For more information on becoming a CUNA Technology Council member, visit cunacouncils.org.

Council members are invited to submit their innovative and/or excellent use of technology for awards consideration. The following is a list of strategic activities that are recognized by this year’s awards:

  • Leadership
  • Miscellaneous
