NAFCU recognizes 2020 Annual Award winners for outstanding achievements

NAFCU Tuesday announced the eight winners of its 2020 Annual Awards, which honor member credit unions and credit union professionals and volunteers for excellence and achievement in the industry. This year’s awards recognized the CEO of the Year, Professional of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Credit Union of the Year in each of two asset-size categories: $250 million or less, and more than $250 million.

“This year’s award winners have demonstrated their exceeding commitment to strengthening the credit union industry,” says NAFCU Awards Committee Chairman Keith Sultemeier, president and CEO of Kinecta Federal Credit Union. “NAFCU is honored to recognize these winners for their efforts to change the industry for the better and their ability to facilitate the industry’s mission of providing exceptional financial services for their communities.”

CEO of the Year

  • Lourdes Cortez, North Jersey Federal Credit Union ($250 million or less)
  • Karen Harbin, Commonwealth Credit Union (more than $250 million)
