Housing experts talk reform in free NAFCU webinar

NAFCU and top housing experts today will provide credit unions with insights to a number of housing finance reform efforts, including proposed capital requirements for the government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs) and maintaining credit unions’ unfettered access to the secondary mortgage market.

The webinar is slated for 2 p.m. Registration is free, however, you must register to attend. Register here.

The webinar, A Panel Discussion of America’s Housing Finance System, will review changes in leadership at the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) and how GSEs have evolved since the conservatorship of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in 2008. Participants will also gain insight to proposed solutions for reforming the current housing finance system and how those solutions can prevent another bailout of too-big-to-fail entities.
