At the time of the competition, Devin was a Senior Relationship Manager, Team Lead with Servus Credit Union ($11B) in Edmonton, Alberta.

Where are you now?

I am still with Servus Credit Union located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.  May 31st marked my 15th Anniversary with Servus. I am now the Assistant Branch Manager at the Delton Branch.

How did the competition help you in your career?

During my full NTCUE experience, it allowed me to figure out what I want to be when I grow up. Now with every new position I take, its about ensuring that its building the skills and competencies to help me reach that goal. By being an Assistant Branch Manager, it is helping me get back into the retail side of our credit union after spending some time with our leadership development team.

What’s your best memory of the competition?

I have a couple. The relationships created with so many people I have met along this journey including my fellow competitors, and the great people from CUES and Currency. It’s amazing to be able to connect with like-minded people. The presentation was another great memory. I know most people hate public speaking, but I love it. Being able to openly share my passion for young leader development and sharing the great work that the Servus Young Leaders Network was doing in that area is something I will always cherish throughout my career.
