Financial and payments inclusion the focus of upcoming virtual Cleveland Fed session

Credit unions are invited to hear from a virtual panel of experts examining new Federal Reserve research on existing barriers to financial inclusion and the importance of trust in financial services and payments choices.

Hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, “A Continued Discussion on Financial and Payments Inclusion”  is free and takes place Nov. 13 from 3-4 p.m. Eastern. This panel is part of the Cleveland Fed’s monthly Fedtalk series and builds on a previous session on the same topic. It centers on a study addressing unbanked and underbanked American households.

The session is moderated by Lisa A. Nelson, Assistant Vice President, Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, with these panelists: Paola Boel, vice president, Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland; Terri Friedline, professor of social work, University of Michigan; and Fumiko Hayashi, vice president, Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.
