If I ask you to think of a logo in which you can recognize a brand with no words present, what do you think of? Nike perhaps? Maybe even Apple or Chevy. All of those brands have very recognizable audio logos. According to a study by Katz Media Group, almost 50% of people that were surveyed immediately thought of Geico and the Geico Gecko when they heard Geico’s audio logo.
What is an audio logo? Wikipedia describes it as a short distinctive melody or other sequence of sound, mostly positioned at the beginning or ending of a commercial. Other recognizable audio logos include:
