CUNA updates elections site in advance of November mid-terms
CUNA’s election tracking website has been updated to reflect races featuring credit union supporters for the Nov. 8 mid-term elections.
The Credit Union Legislative Action Council—CUNA’s federal political action committee—have backed 333 credit unions candidates to date with a 96% success rate.
CUNA.org/elections will be updated with additional candidates leading up to the election. Visitors will be able to check the site to see which CULAC-backed candidates succeeded in their elections and will join the 118th Congress starting Nov. 9.
“CULAC exists to identify and support candidates for Congress who will stand with credit unions in our mission in enhance the financial well-being of all,” said Trey Hawkins, CUNA deputy chief advocacy officer for political action. “When pro-credit union candidates of either party get elected to Congress, America’s 130 million credit union members are the ultimate winner.”
