CUNA engaged with FY2021 appropriations hearings this week

Both chambers of Congress are in Washington, D.C. this week and CUNA will be engaged with a number of hearings covering credit union priorities. Appropriations bills for fiscal year 2021 will be the subject of several hearings.

On Wednesday, the House Appropriations subcommittee on financial services and general government (FSGG) will conduct a hearing on its legislation. FSGG bills contain appropriations for several important credit union funds, including the Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) Fund, NCUA’s Community Development Revolving Loan Program, and the Small Business Administration’s 7(a) and 504 loan programs.

Other hearings CUNA will be engaged with this week include:

  • Tuesday, 9 a.m. (ET): House Ways and Means Committee hearing, proposed FY2021 budget for the U.S. Treasury;
