Credit Union House Hall of Leaders recognizes industry influencers
Since the inception of the Credit Union House Hall of Leaders in 2008, over 170 individuals from 41 states have been inducted into – what I consider to be – our industry’s “Hall of Fame.”
Members of the Credit Union House Hall of Leaders’ commitment to credit unions inspires others in our movement. Their leadership serves as a model for credit union leaders throughout the country. Their actions preserve the values on which this cooperative movement is built. Their devotion furthers the prosperity of the credit union industry and preserves its future.
Just as Credit Union House is a permanent, tangible presence on Capitol Hill to recognize the credit union movement, the Credit Union House Hall of Leaders is a permanent, tangible presence at Credit Union House to recognize credit union leaders who have shaped – and continue to shape – our movement.
Each inductee’s name is proudly displayed on the wall at Credit Union House to remind the many CU House visitors – from credit union employees to political influencers – of the passionate individuals who serve day after day and year after year to help credit unions thrive with the ultimate goal of supporting credit union members and furthering financial wellbeing for all.

More than a venue providing exceptional events experiences in Washington DC, Credit Union House symbolizes the strength and permanence of the credit union movement. This landmark is evidence of what credit unions can accomplish through cooperative efforts and, true to the movement it represents, is collectively owned by every state credit union league/association and the American Association of Credit Union Leagues and is significantly supported financially, operationally and strategically by the Credit Union National Association. The CUNA-League system strategically uses the venue to foster positive relationships among advocates, elected officials and federal regulators in service of fierce advocacy on behalf of the credit union movement.
As such, it is fitting that these leaders who have significantly supported the prosperity of our beloved industry are recognized at Credit Union House. I am looking forward to announcing the industry influencers who will be joining this esteemed group of individuals when we share the 2021 inductees later this month!
