Neil Mum is the currently Visa’s Head of Strategy, North America. Neil has over 15 years of experience in retail banking and payments, and has been with Visa since 2011. Prior to his current role Neil was Vice President – Global Corporate Strategy. While at Visa Neil has led numerous efforts to accelerate growth in priority Visa countries, created multi-year growth strategies for multiple core and emerging product areas, and developed creative partnership solutions with a range of issuers and other partners. Neil also manages Visa’s competitive intelligence function to evaluate the developments associated with both traditional and alternative payments players, and helped lead much of Visa’s early research on Digital Currencies and the Blockchain.
Prior to Visa, Neil was a Principal in the Retail Banking and Payments Practice with The Boston Consulting Group. While at BCG primarily worked on growth strategy for issuer deposit product, wealth management, credit, debit, co-brand and prepaid product portfolios, including a number of international issuers. He also worked for Deloitte Consulting and for a large global retailer.
Neil has a BS in Finance from the Carlson School of Business at the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business.
