Mark Matabi

Mark oversees all aspects of the Technology and Innovation for Financial Inclusion (TIFI) project including management of the team and strategic development. Prior to his role at WOCCU, Mark has driven cooperatives development projects in Eastern and Southern Africa. In Kenya, he has led projects for USAID’s Feed the Future with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations; the previous USAID Cooperative Development Program (CDP) for Global Communities; Farm Africa; and the USAID Yes Youth Can!
Mark’s technical expertise encompasses financial inclusion, market integration, and smallholder productivity, and he has a strong track record in cooperatives organizational structure, systems and strategic development, and partnership development.
