Dr. Joy Smith-Durant, DBA, serves as the Chief Lending Officer of Eagle Federal Credit Union. With over 20 years in the financial services industry, she has dedicated most of her years of service to credit unions.
Not only is Dr. Smith-Durant, an advocate for the credit union movement, but she is also an advocate for children and education. She serves her community by serving on non-profit boards, including March of Dimes Louisiana Market, Baton Rouge Community College Foundation, and Istrouma Area Council Boards in Baton Rouge, LA.
Dr. Smith-Durant earned her Doctor of Business Administration, with a Leadership concentration, from Walden University and MBA and Bachelors from the University of New Orleans. She is passionate about employee engagement, workplace culture, and training and coaching.
Outside of work, Joy loves spending time with family, traveling, writing, and volunteering.
