John McKenzie has served as president of the Indiana Credit Union League since 1990. Prior to that, he held senior management positions with the League’s Servicecorp and Indiana’s corporate credit union during the 1980s. His efforts to build a strong and collaborative credit union culture in the state have included initiatives with card services, shared branching, and a self-funded association health plan for credit union employees/dependents that have all aggregated very high levels of Indiana credit union participation and sharing of mutual benefits. Over 99% of the state’s credit union assets are represented by those affiliated with the League. Effective advocacy on behalf of Indiana’s credit unions with legislators, regulators, the media, and public has always been the top priority. He is a past board member of the Credit Union National Association (CUNA). ...
