Agencies issue Hurricane Milton-related update on supervisory practices

NCUA joined other regulators – including the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Federal Reserve, Florida Office of Financial Regulation, and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency – to address the serious impact of Hurricane Milton on operations of many financial institutions. The regulators issued a statement about appropriate regulatory assistance for affected institutions that are subject to their supervision.

The agencies encourage institutions operating in the affected areas to meet the financial services needs of their communities. The Federal Emergency Management Agency maintains a complete list of current disaster areas.

The statement provides guidance on:

  • Lending;
  • Temporary facilities;
  • Publishing requirements;
