Challenges in 2015

During the past year, I’ve written a bunch about challenges.

According to aNAFCU survey in February, here were the challenges faced by credit unions in 2014.

1. Regulatory Burden

2. Loan Growth

3. Income

I turned the results into “word art.”

After the first three challenges of regulatory burden, loan growth and income, the other challenges simply fall off a cliff in relative importance.

So, what challenges face us in 2015?Well, I need your help.

I’ve designed two surveys. One survey is designed for credit union management. And the other is for boards and other credit union officials. Below are links to both surveys.

Anthony Demangone is executive vice president and chief operating officer at the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU). Demangone oversees day-to-day operations and manages the association’s education, membership, human resources, building facilities, finance and information technology functions. He also authors NAFCU’s executive blog, Musings from the CU Suite. Before assuming the COO position, Demangone served as NAFCU’s vice president of regulatory compliance, where he led a staff of compliance attorneys and managed the day-to-day affairs of NAFCU’s compliance assistance program.
