PremierOne Credit Union awards scholarships to college-bound members

SAN JOSE, CA (August 29, 2024) |

PremierOne Credit Union awarded scholarships to two college-bound students under its annual PremierOne Scholarship Program on August 9th. For the past eight years, the PremierOne has helped student members achieve their educational goals through their annual scholarship program.

Tina Sinaki of San Jose was awarded the Richard Busse Memorial Scholarship based on her community involvement. Tina is a graduate of Branham High School in San Jose. She plans to West Valley College in the fall and plans to major in Psychology.

Frankie Keffer of San Jose was awarded the Robert DeBarr Scholarship based on his outstanding leadership skills. Frankie graduated from Archbishop Mitty Hight School in San Jose and is currently attending the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. He plans to study Engineering after his stint in the Air Force.

“We would like to congratulate our scholarship winners for their outstanding achivements and dedication to  improving our communities,” said PremierOne Credit Union President and CEO Andrea Brewer. “We wish them great success in there future ademic career.”

The PremierOne Scholarship Program offers two scholarships to graduating high school seniors or undergraduate students to recognize outstanding leadership skills and excellence in community service. The program was created to honor the late Robert E. DeBarr, a board of directors volunteer for the credit union, as well as the late Richard Busse who served on the supervisory committee and served the community for over 40 years.
