Statement on proposed credit union leadership appointees to key regulatory bodies

The North Carolina House of Representatives Wednesday evening proposed appointing several credit union leaders to key boards and commissions.

Lindsey Dowling, Director of Governmental Affairs for the Carolinas Credit Union League, said, “Thank you to Speaker Moore and staff for ensuring North Carolina credit unions are represented on these boards and commissions. Not-for-profit credit unions have faithfully delivered financial services to North Carolinians of all incomes, in communities big and small, for more than a century.”

The House included the following credit union leaders in the General Assembly’s proposed appointments bill, Senate Bill 915:

  • To the North Carolina Manufactured Housing Board: Beth Eller, Senior Vice President of Mortgage Lending, Truliant Federal Credit Union, Clemmons, NC.
  • To the North Carolina Housing Finance AgencyLynn Pinter, Director of Lending, Champion Credit Union, Canton, NC.
  • To the African American Heritage CommissionJaz Kilpatrick, Senior Vice President of Impact, Civic Federal Credit Union and Local Government Federal Credit Union, Raleigh, NC
