Royal Credit Union (Royal) Vice President of Community Engagement, Jennifer McHugh was recognized with the Volunteer of the Year Award at Eau What a Night: The Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce’s 109th Annual Meeting. McHugh has served on the Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) Governmental Affairs Committee since 2016 and has been the chair since 2019.
“Jennifer led the committee through a critical time, including response to the pandemic, our increasing engagement in local issues, and the creation of the annual Business Issues Agenda,” shared Dave Minor, Eau Claire Area Chamber of Commerce President/CEO.
McHugh’s accomplishments include assisting the Chamber in advocating for key policy wins like securing funding for the UW-Eau Claire Science and Health Sciences building, creating engaging conversations as moderator of the Eggs & Issues programs, and working cooperatively with allied organizations. McHugh also played a role in the expansion of the Chamber’s educational programs including the "Making a Difference" series and Local Candidate Training Workshop.
