Credit Union of Richmond President & CEO Shirley Cooper to Retire

Credit Union of Richmond President and CEO, Shirley Cooper, has announced her plans to retire in the summer of 2023.  The Board of Directors of Credit Union of Richmond have hired D. Hilton Associates to conduct a nationwide search to find its next President and CEO.

“The Board would like to thank Shirley for her numerous years of service to Credit Union of Richmond. Shirley’s leadership, knowledge, and commitment have helped to grow the credit union into the financial institution it is today. We are immensely grateful for Shirley’s commitment to serving our membership during her time at Credit Union of Richmond,” said Alvin Strother Chairperson of the Board of Directors.

Shirley commented on her retirement saying “I have loved my time leading the credit union over all these years, and I am proud of what we have accomplished. I am sure the next CEO, in conjunction with our devoted employees and Board, will continue our track record of growth and serving our membership and I look forward to seeing the credit union’s success in the future.”
